System 1

The Label — radical transparency

Position: natural wine is the one truly transparent product — grape to bottle, one person, nothing hidden. The whole site is built like a wine label / a disclosure document. Every maker and wine declares everything. Uses your existing palette, icons, photos and Vicky payoff — but the system is full disclosure.

Winemaking industrialised in the 20th century: fertiliser, pesticides, added yeasts, sulphites. These growers refused. They farm without chemicals and let the wine reflect the ground it came from — the canaries in the coal mine of agriculture.

System 3

The Almanac — a field guide to taste

Position: making taste accessible (your BD core). The site is an illustrated field guide / almanac — numbered entries, classifications, figure captions, margin notes, and your woodcut icons used as engraved plates. Intelligent and knowledge-forward — a beautiful reference book, not a landing page.

01
oller del mas
vitis · biodynamic · catalonia
Old vines on monastery land; whole-cluster, wild ferments, nothing added. A wine that tastes of the schist it grew on.
fig. 1 — “the canary in the coal mine of agriculture.” Notice the cover crops between the rows.
02
le coste
vitis · wild · lazio
Volcanic soils farmed by hand, abandoned vines revived. Cloudy, unfiltered — most of all, alive.
fig. 2 — sediment is not a flaw; it is evidence of life.
03
gut oggau
vitis · biodynamic · burgenland
A family of living wines, each given a face and a name. Biodynamic since the first vintage.
fig. 3 — every bottle is a portrait.
