for winemakers · edition 03 — 23 november '26

pour at
nwfa.

we curate around sixty winemakers each edition. if you grow honest fruit, ferment with restraint, and want a room of people who care about it — apply below.

§ 01 — what this is

a one-day festival, a long table, and an audience that already knows the difference between a wine that's alive and a wine that's been engineered to taste expensive.

amsterdam, last sunday of november, every year. two thousand visitors who come specifically for natural wine — consumers in the afternoon, importers and trade in the early hour, a long-table dinner the night before.

we keep the lineup curated and the room small enough that people can actually meet you. no mega-fair pace, no two-minute pours per table. you'll be on your stand all day, but you'll have real conversations.

§ 02 — what we look for

simple, stubborn,
honest.

01
organic at minimum
certified or not — but no herbicides, no synthetic pesticides, no shortcuts in the vineyard.
02
wild ferments preferred
indigenous yeasts, slow ferments. we make room for exceptions, but the bar starts here.
03
low / no added so₂
tiny doses at bottling are fine. industrial dosing isn't where we are.
04
a story you can tell
we want growers who can stand at the table and talk about their soils, not a brand rep.
05
distributed in nl, or willing to be
if there's no importer yet, that's fine — but you should be open to building one.
06
a small operation
family, friends, a few hired hands at harvest. we're not for industrial labels dressing up.
§ 03 — what you get

a table, a room,
and an audience.

we don't pretend the trip from your village to amsterdam is free. but the room is full, the audience is right, and you keep every name you collect.

01your own table on the festival floor.around 2,000 visitors across the day.
02industry-only hour at 12:00.importers, sommeliers, retail buyers before the public arrives.
03spot in the printed bottle list.every wine you pour, every visitor walks out with it.
04optional masterclass slot.60 min, 18 seats, your story your way.
05seat at the winemaker's dinner — sat 22 nov.thirty seats, four growers cook with the chef. an invitation, not a charge.
06hotel + transport help.we won't pay it for you, but we'll set up the deal.
§ 04 — apply

§ 05 — questions we get

before you apply.

do you charge a stand fee?

we charge a modest participation fee that covers the table, the glassware, your spot in the printed list, and the workshop room if you take a slot. exact number is on the form. it's a fraction of what big trade fairs ask.

i don't have a dutch importer yet — can i still apply?

yes. about a third of our lineup each edition is without nl distribution at the time of the festival. the festival is often where that conversation starts.

how many bottles should i bring?

plan for around 50–70 bottles split across your four to six wines, plus a few for the dinner if you've been invited. we'll send a detailed brief once you're confirmed.

can a brand rep or importer pour for me?

preferably not. we built this festival around meeting the people who grow the grapes. if you genuinely can't travel, talk to us — we look at it case by case.

when do you confirm the lineup?

we usually close applications late summer and confirm the full lineup by mid-september for a november event. the form stays open until then.
